Lasik Vision Blog
It might seem strange to make a blog about a type of eye surgery, but it’s a particular interest of mine because I’m seriously considering doing it. I’m doing extensive research on this topic because it’s definitely not an inexpensive procedure! I’m using this blog to capture my research–which will hopefully be of value to others.
Like you, I’ve heard good things and bad things about getting lasik vision surgery. I’m going to explore both the good and the bad aspects of lasik surgery in this blog.
If you’ve had experiences, either good or bad, with lasik vision correction surgery I’d like to hear them! Please join this blog as a member and partipate in the discussion.
I hope you enjoy the research I’m doing on this popular surgery. Thanks for reading my blog!

Lasik Vision Blog
I got lasik done a few years ago at Kleiman Evangelista (lasiksurgery.com). My choice was the blade free lasik surgery where they don’t use a blade (lol, pretty self explanatory). My results were great. The second they were done they made me read a clock from across the room and I could SEE! It was an amazing surgery! I wish you luck when you decide to get this surgery done.
I had terrible astigmatism and went to the Lasik-1 center in Kansas City. They were awesome enough to give me a free consultation and I was able to pick the surgery best for me. The surgery was flawless and now I have the 20/20 I’ve dreamed of since I was a boy. Good Luck!
I have an astigmatism and recently underwent LASIK & WAVEVUE laser treatment in Kent, United kingdom. I’m writing this 7 days after surgery and things are going well. The surgery was quick and painless but a little stressful. It’s hard to explain as you can’t see what’s going on. Anyway, all done in minutes. The next day (after a fairly pleasant night) I had a check-up and had, so they say, had better than 20/20. However, my close-up vision was blurred and computer work was out of the question because of the glare and light sensitivity. Still, it was only 18 hours after the surgery.
Over the next 6 days, my vision got better and better. One eye is slightly better at distance and the other better close up. I’m told this is normal. I’m still getting halo’s at night and PC work is a little strained after a few hours but……so far I’m very happy. It’s my last day of adding drops and I can’t wait to throw all those bottles of drops in the bin. Despite all the above, I can drive (at night too) and work for long periods on the PC. I’m told it could be another 3 weeks before the close-up focus issues and halo/night difficulties end. Even if these things don’t improve, it’s something I could live with. Good luck if having it done. I’ll add more in 3 weeks time.
Following-on from my previous post, it’s now 5 weeks since surgery and I have great vision, measured at 20/15 and I can see better than I could with glasses. No dry eye issues at all and most days I don’t use drops at all. I’m still getting halos and starbursts at night. They have told me it could be a few months before this eases-up. Everything else they have told me has turned out true so I have no reason to doubt this…..I hope! All in all, a great success and just to clear-up a mistake earlier, I had LASIK CUSTOMVUE WAVEFRONT and INTRALASE.
